Was I the only one unable to watch the Canes game?

When I turned it on, it was the old school test pattern, and the Tivo said it was blacked out.
Anyone else???

"x-compensatory selection"

so what is a compensatory selection? I've never followed drafts intently but I saw this on the later rounds in the paper this morning. . . I would like to point out that Al Davis rocks to the beat of his own drummer, possibly ignoring everyone, including his own staff during draft weekend. The drafting of really fast guys has paid off so many times before. . .

Really Trent? Really?

Trent Dilfer said that if Mark Sanchez, Sam Bradford, Colt McCoy, Tim Tebow, and Matthew Stafford went to go get a burger that Mark Sanchez would be driving, because he's the best leader that everyone gravitates to.

I know I'm a homer, but if Mark Sanchez was such a great leader why couldn't he beat out John David Booty his Freshman and Sophmore years. If all his teammates loved him why was he riding the pine.

Tebow has played since he was a true freshman and that was with a National Championship Sr. QB playing. Now Sanchez may drive, but only because Tebow wants him to feel good about himself.

Gonzalez Trade!!!!

The only thing I ever liked about the Chiefs was Tony G. (that I can think of). With Matt Ryan's rookie season . . . .

I am officially addicted to the MLB Network

even though Billy Ripken is one weird, creepy looking dude. And Joe Magrane looks like some kind of cut rate Bruce Campbell.

Also

Tom kicked all of our asses in the bracket challenge this year.

Are there only 12 decent female

hoops players in college? What is it about women's collegiate sports that lends itself to all these dynasties (UT basketball, UNC soccer, UConn hoops, UCLA softball(?))?

Is it just a lack of overall talent in these sports, so if one team can grab up all of the solid players, BAM, they're a dynasty?

Or is this a situation where skill actually matters more? That is, in men's sports, skill can often be neutralized by pure athleticism; whereas the ladies don't normally have that luxury. Thus, the more skilled teams in women's hoops tend to win out and their tournament is relatively sucky (that, and the fact that a 1 seed may have to play on a 9 seeds home floor in the second round).

Addendum: apparently, UCONN is the first hoops program (men or women) to beat every team ON ITS ENTIRE SCHEDULE by 10 or more points!
