Am I the Only One?
Am I the only one who is extremely bothered that the third-highest scoring team is tied for second-to-last? I think this strikes at the credability of Yahoo! Fantasy Football.
Well, that's the issue with doing head to head matchups versus rotisserie style. I don't know why football seems to favor the one, while baseball the other; it's quite the conundrum.
Consistency. It's all about consistency and matchups. Real american throwball has many situations where overall a team scores a lot of points, but its done against DIII competition. Then the play a big dog, and poof, no points. Its a crapshoot my man. You've won three, but a win is a win no matter how many points you score............Do you hear me Patriots! No matter how many points you score!
Hate to be a bitch here, but my scores have been very consistent...so consistent that my Standard Deviation is only 6.5. That means the I'm scoring a steady 95 per game but my opponents average much, much higher.
By Greg's DIII comparison, I'd say that in weeks 1-6, I played the Colts, Cowboys, Patriots, Bills, Colts, Patriots. That ain't really me being a big fish in a small pond.
All in good fun, I'm just pissed that I'll be 2nd highest scoring team and it'll take miracle to get me in the playoffs (to do so, two of these three teams must lose 2 games and I must win all three: Spooner, MustProtect, & Genuine)
Look, Harry Seldon, dont make me come at you like a spider monkey. If you REALLY had pre-cognitive powers, then you're going to hell for allowing 9/11 to happen. Curse you, Sweet Dee. Curse you.
Can't argue with std dev info. You have been playing teams who score a good number of points so your imaginary FFL defense (karma) has been horrible. Take solace in the fact that I was last in a 14 team league two years ago where I had the third most points in the league. I did however get $5 because I had the worst imaginary defense (luck, karma). I think you are in ok shape as you are only 2 games out of the first tier playoffs with 5 games left. You go heads up against the team who you are one game behind, and the two teams you are two games behind. You do need help, but remember all tiebreakers are decided by total points. So you'll win all tiebreakers currently except for me who you are tied for in total points. but you beat me, and that goes away too. You've won three in a row, you are on fire.
