And what percentage of the 'stranger murders' that occur during 'occupied-home break ins' come from gun shot wounds to the 'upper leg.' I assume they use 'upper leg' like a sportscaster who is really talking about about the gonads.
This was actually the third time his house was broken into during the month. The first two times he wasn't home. Its definitely someone who knew him, or at the very least knew whose house it was and knew it was mostly unoccupied during this time of year. It's possible those who burglarized the home didn't realize he was injured and in Miami instead of DC. Then again, those that burglarized his home knew enough to cut the phone lines, etc. before they came in.
It's my understanding, though, that the break in eight days earlier didn't actually result in stolen property. Si.com says they went through some drawers and left a knife on his bed. Still sounds whackish to me.
I NEVER cut phone lines before I go in. Anyone who has seen "Terminator" realizes that sometimes you knock off the wrong person, and generally by blind, dumb luck the intended target will call whilst you are standing over the body of the bungled hit.
while the spin crew has to go for the heart felt loss edge with numbers on jerseys and moments of silence, etc. . .
What if this turns out like a Chris Benoit and the death be far from accidental/incidental and the deceased goes down in history more on the Vickstyle side of things. . .
Will thousands of americans sue for their moment of lost conversation?

I agree with the both of you. Both on the he got whacked point and the Terminator reference.
