I'm thinking 7-9 in league play for us; possibly with 4 L's in a row coming up if the team isn't careful. Two bad road match ups, and then two teams that whooped the shit out of us (at least those are at home).

If they can somehow go 4-4 in league the rest of the way and then win one ACC tourney game. I will predict they are in the dance.

I can tell greguar hasn't followed NC State for long...the rule that rules state is that for every surprising victory (say Duke) there are two surprising losses (FSU & Wake)

Come on! Let me believe!

Listen, I hate to say it, but there is no reason for them being only 4-4 with their talent. It may be that Lowe isn't coaching them up right.

Another couple years of this and he may get tossed on his large rear end.

Greguar's cruisin' for a bruisin'. You'll learn in good time, grasshopper. ;-)

I'm actually a lot more disappointed with our OOC early losses than 4 losses in conference play. I'd like it to be 3 (should have beat GT) and I'd like those 3 to have been a little less ugly, but I'll take it. I think we can finish 4-4, too, but even if our next 8 games were against high school teams, I wouldn't be counting chickens now.

The cardinal rule of wolfpack bball is "match your opponents" we regularly play the number 4 team in the nation like we were 3 or 5 and then turn around and play number 105 like we're 104 or 106.

we rarely just pound a weaker conference opponent or non conference opponent by 30 points the way our nearest tobacco road opponents.

Of course I heard the announce mention that there are 13 all McD's players on the hardwood in CH tonight. . . How many were playing VaTech yesterday?

If Lowe can pound inferior teams and at least trade home/home with Duke/UNC, then we'll be on evener recruiting turf. Until then we'll always be 3rd best at best, with the occasional WOW! win followed by the predictable WTF loss!

Even though I feel they have the talent to be better than 4-4 in conference at this point with who they have played, I agree with SCW on their OOC record being disappointing. Losses to UNO and ECU were killers.

However, their RPI is 40 and SOS is 33 which with a 4-4 finish and a win in the tourney would put them in the 20's where no at large team from a BCS conference with a .500 or better record has been denied.
