Oh yes, this is pretty much badassery at its finest. She was allowed to compete in five events; however, here in NC I think its a max of four. Although I guess winning the title by six points sort of takes care of that.
Now that I think about this, the fact that any team could win states without winning any of the relay events is truly outstanding.
No doubt I read about this on the ESPN a couple weeks ago.
No doubt its badassery. What makes it even more unbelievable, is the mix of Discus with 100M. Long jump 100M, and 200M go together, but throwing in the high jump and the disc!!! HFS!
Another underrated part of this is that no only did she do this, but it was in Texas. Not Alaska or Vermont, or some state where kids can't run. TEXAS!!
and even in IA (in texas that means??? in NC that means a school around 400 - 600 students) there should be a kid that can beat a pentathlete in every one of the five events, not just the 100m. . .
