LCS thoughts

So I haven't been a huge baseball fan over the years. The Twins Braves series of 1991 was fairly exciting. Especially the game the twins won. Luke charged out on the balcony expecting the deluge of phonebooks, pizza boxes and toilet paper that followed all the Brave's wins.

One lone person screaming across a quad "goooo Twiiiiins!" followed by crickets is pretty darn memorable. And I'll always love him more for it!

I have many great memories of waking up at 3am in Nepal to tune into the Denver/GreenBay Superbowls and World Cup France.

But up until recently, that cricket night with Luke was about it for baseball.

I've definitely been much more excited for our historic forays in 'Ice Croquette' and other modified rules of yard games. I'm still thinking we should get a thrift shop set of my little ponies to make a game of horseshoes seem like a hell of a lot more in the telling of it.

Until this October.

The attention I've paid to the Bulls over the last three years has really come back to make me damn happy as I've followed the Rays through their cinderella year. Listening to the games on am radio and hearing the former Bulls lighting up an 11-0 at Fenway pitcher was just damn awesome.

Not that the Rays will continue to have this success, especially is the rich ass division they're in, but if they do, it may be time to consider a road trip next summer, just 'cause. Of course, this is a midnight thought fed by "Red Brick Brown Ale" from the Atlanta brewing company. It's a little sugary for me, but there's five more just waiting for coming nights!

hmmmm.

lost that train.

whoooooooo whooooooooooooooo

I would like to add my thoughts on just how aesthetically pleasing a home run is.
That 3 run shot in the 8th was kind of pretty, and not in a 2 dudes at a bbq "I like you dawg" "I like you too, dawg" kind of way.

Us Weekly has said Longoria has gotten a bit bustier over the past year. Oh wait, still the wrong Longoria

Oh, I forgot that there was a Cubs element to the baseball discussion.
One of my students - an avid BoSox fan was mysteriously absent today. The class opinion is post blowout syndrome.

BoSox and Cubbies have that similar post season aggravation still. . .

One of my former students dropped a ton of expletives my way when casually discussing the Rays' success. . .
