Sexyama debut
What did you guys think of the fight? Ok fight but the first judge scored all three rounds for Akiyama (wtf). Realistically it is a hard fight to score. The first round was a toss up. Belcher knocked Akiyama down but then got taken down by Akiyamam. Second round went to Sexyama no doubt. By the third round the eyepoke was working on Akiyama heavily but legal leg kicks were destroying his left leg. Thoughts.

Just finished rewatching the fight, and here are my thoughts.
Round 1:
Akiyama wins the round.
Dominated the stand-up. Won exchanges and hit Belcher with harder shots consistently throughout the round (nut shot excepted). Unlike boxing, that knockdown isn't an automatic point deduction. Akiyama even took Belcher down at the end of the round which may have won him the round in some judges' eyes.
Round 2:
Akiyama wins the round.
This one is not even close. Took Belcher down, controlled him, and hit him with shots from the top for 3 minutes. At the end of the round, hit him with some hard shots in the stand up. Watch everytime Belcher comes in, he gets popped with a left. Not even close.
Round 3:
Belcher more active at the start of the 3rd, although he's gotten hit with the harder shots. Belcher is definitely pushing the action here, but once again, he's getting caught with the bigger shots (superman punch excepted). I could see Belcher winning this round; however, it all comes down to what the judge sees as important, activity or big shots. Also, the takedown with around 30 seconds to go in the round may have "stolen" the round for Akiyama.
I know Rogan and Goldberg both thought that Belcher won the fight handily, but on a second viewing, 30-27 Akiyama isn't a terrible judging job. I would have gone 29-28 Sexy Time (with the third going to Belcher).
