Good news for Golden Tate fans.

WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh is expected to be traded or released by Seattle, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. He's due $7 million this season. Houshmandzadeh signed a five-year, $40 million contract last offseason, and would earn $15 million for his lone season in Seattle if he's not with the team. The Seahawks aren't likely to find a trade partner due to Houshmandzadeh's salary. Houshmandzadeh, 32, caught 79 passes last season, but the Seahawks appear prepared to start Deion Branch and Mike Williams, and give second-year player Deon Butler and Golden Tate the top two reserve spots.
