Honestly, going into the game I had chaulked us up as 3-1, considering that Tech won the ACC last year ( I THINK).
I knew they ran the option really well and that we have a long, sordid history of losing big games.
So to see us play a solid defensive game, have solid running & passing, pretty good defensive special teams ( looks like we have to wait on Cam to grow up so we'll have a good kicker) and to whip the shit out of a good team on the road... all of that just made me REALLY happy.
I know I'm not alone in thinking "THIS is what we've been expecting from Tom O'Brian for 5 years".
Barring injuries, I can't but imagine we're going to a bowl -- set your calendars now, boys.

If we go 0-fer over the stretch, I'll remember this comment and blame YOU for it. . . Even if I agree with the sentiment.
Why'd you have to say bowl. . .
Random funny addendum to the game that had no bearing on it whatsoever. Apparently, the home team has to ask permission to wear its white jersey at home (in football, unlike hoops, dark is home, white away). In this case, State declined Tech's option and so Tech was forced to wear their dark jerseys; only problem, Tech doesn't have dark jerseys! They have a white home and a white away jersey (similar to what LSU does), so they were forced to bust out some gold jerseys from last year.
Reading through some of the message boards, I guess some of the Tech players/fans were pretty irritated at State's choice. Honestly; however, if I was an opposing coach and I had an early season game against them in Atlanta, I'd do that every time.
AND.... not sure if you were aware, but Tech had a "White Out" since they were on big time TV... and this was the first of 10 that they have lost.
leave it alone you all, you're making it too good to be true!!!
I wore my White Out shirt last night. It was ironical.
Uh, why does it always have to be a white out? Why aren't my blue or gold or magenta brothers gettin' any love. Cyan bitches, it's been a secondary color too long!
